RANDOLPH G. RUSSELL

Author  “American History in No Time.”

Our April speaker is Randolph G. Russell.  He is a native Floridian who now lives in Brunswick, Georgia.  He has degrees from the University of Miami and the University of Florida.  He has had a varied career, both in the corporate sector and, now, as an author/lecturer.

Early in his career, he worked at Great Dane Trailers and in other corporate financial settings.    More recently, he has authored several books, most notably, “American History in No Time.”  In this book, he discusses in succinct fashion, key aspects of U.S. history.  Mr. Russell notes in the book that few Americans have real knowledge of our country’s history.  The book is used by numerous colleges.  As critics have observed, it has provided a solid foundation of key events in U.S. history that many of us overlooked.

When he has spoken on the subject of America history, he has been very well received by the audiences – receiving a standing ovation.  The book has been found to be beneficial, not only to students but, also to their parents and grandparents.  It is especially beneficial to military personnel by providing them with a deeper meaning to their service.

In addition to his talent as an author, he is a musician (saxophone).  He has appeared professionally with Tony Bennett, Burt Bacharach, with Lou Rawls, and with other Broadway musicals, both in the U.S. and in Europe.
